Easy Chocolate Fudge

Hi there!  Thank you so much for stopping by on this beautiful December day!!  With the holidays coming up, I wanted to post something festive, and this fudge I made the other day seemed to fit the bill!  It's very easy, and only takes about 10 minutes to prepare!
Ingredients:
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

I also added a few tablespoons of butter to make it a little more creamy, and I left out the nuts.  This is one girl who doesn't like nuts in ANYTHING! Yes, I know I'm weird.  Anyway, here's the instructions:
1. Grease the bottom and sides of a square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches, with butter
2. Heat condensed milk and chocolate chips in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth; remove from heat.
3. Quickly stir in vanilla, then spread into pan.
4. Refrigerate for an hour and a half, or until firm.  We put it in the freezer for a while to help it get firmer.
5. Cut into 1-inch squares.

That's it!  Your beautiful fudge is ready to eat! :)

We've been busy since after Thanksgiving getting ready for Christmas!  Even though every day is a good day to reach people for Christ, Christmas is an especially wonderful time of year for outreach. It's also that time of year to pull out the traditional Christmas movies and books!

What are some of your favorite holiday recipes? What are some of your family's Christmas traditions?  Some favorite movies or books?

What I Wore to a Wedding

Hi everybody!
It took me longer to get this post up, due to being sick, among other things!  :(
Here's the pictures that my mom took for me at the beautiful wedding we attended several weeks ago.
Denim jacket: Forever 21
Lace Dress: thredUP
Tights: Walmart
Belt: thrift store
Necklace: Forever 21
Handbag: One my mom didn't want anymore, so I offered to take it off her hands!  :)

I was also able to do the "Hollywood Roll" using a headband thing I got from a local department store.  I'm lovin' it!  It's so easy to use, and it looks gorgeous in minutes!
My dad and a few of my siblings. :)
I love my precious mom (yes, she does sometimes find herself on the other side of the lens!)
In this picture, you can see the boots that I got at our local department store.  They are so comfortable and cute!  ;)

Have a beautiful day, folks!

What I Wore {Autumn Colors}

Hey y'all!
This past week has been busy (as always!) with celebrating birthdays and attending a wedding (pictures coming soon)!

In a recent photo shoot, here's what I wore:

Scarf: Walmart, $7.00
Denim jacket:  Forever 21, a birthday gift several years ago
Maxi dress:  Walmart, $5.00 (Isn't that a fabulous deal??  I snatched up all three!  The regular price for them was around $30.00!)
Flats:  Walmart, several years ago

How many of my blog readers would say autumn is their favorite season?  Summer is my favorite, but there are so many things I love about fall, as well!

Have a fantastic week!

Random Pictures from My Crazy {and wonderful} Life

I'm back!  And with some pictures of my crazy but oh-so-wonderful life!
This picture was taken after swimming for several hours at a lake not too far from where we live.  It's my favorite place to be!
We officially started our first-day-of-homeschooling about a month ago.  Tenth grade, bring it on!  :)

Here's the costumes that my sisters and I wore to a festival we attended last month.  My mom sewed all of them, and she did a fantastic job!
I love me some s'mores! ;)
I went to a bridal shower a few days ago, and I was one of the toilet paper-dress models!  Yep, that was a lot of fun trying to walk in that thing! (LOL!) :)

Life has been very busy lately for me with homeschooling and many various events.  I am also studying to get my driver's permit, and working on music and homemaking activities in my spare time.

How was your summer?  What does your to-do list look like for the coming week/month?  I would love to hear from all of you!
Have a wonderful day, y'all!  ;)

What I Wore {pink and purple}

Here's what I wore this past Sunday. I realized later that the shirt doesn't appear to match the skirt!  :/  The reason being that the skirt has a small design that matches the shirt perfectly, you just can't see it unless you're up close!  :)

Undershirt: From a local department store
Skirt: Also from a thrift store
Flip flips: Izzie brand, borrowed from my sister :)

We had so much fun with our cousin Kara at the party! (And I have no idea why my brother is making this weird face...LOL!)
After lunch, cupcakes, and opening presents, we went outside and had a water balloon fight!  Talk about a fun birthday party!
Hope y'all are having a great week! :)

3.  If I were a pair of shoes, I would be flip flops!

4.  If I were the weather, I would be a sunshiny, hot summer day.

5.  If I were a facial expression, I would be a big smile! :)

6.  If I were a car, I would be a sports car.

7.  If I were a time of day, I would be morning.

8.  If I were a month, I would be July!

9.  If I were a place, I'd be a beach house.  ;)

10. If I were a drink, I'd be cream soda.

11. If I were a taste, I'd be sweet!

12. If I were an animal, I'd be a horse.

13. If I were a sea animal, I would be a sea horse.

14. If I were a food, I would be a hamburger! :)

15. If I were a color, I would be hot pink!

16. If I were a dessert, I'd be ice cream!

17. If I were a musical instrument, I would be a guitar.

18. If I were a flower, I would be a larkspur.

19. If I were a fruit, I would be an orange!

20. If I were a plant, I'd be sage!

21. If I were a sound, I'd be the roar of the ocean.  :)
