Easy Chocolate Fudge

Hi there!  Thank you so much for stopping by on this beautiful December day!!  With the holidays coming up, I wanted to post something festive, and this fudge I made the other day seemed to fit the bill!  It's very easy, and only takes about 10 minutes to prepare!
Ingredients:
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

I also added a few tablespoons of butter to make it a little more creamy, and I left out the nuts.  This is one girl who doesn't like nuts in ANYTHING! Yes, I know I'm weird.  Anyway, here's the instructions:
1. Grease the bottom and sides of a square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches, with butter
2. Heat condensed milk and chocolate chips in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth; remove from heat.
3. Quickly stir in vanilla, then spread into pan.
4. Refrigerate for an hour and a half, or until firm.  We put it in the freezer for a while to help it get firmer.
5. Cut into 1-inch squares.

That's it!  Your beautiful fudge is ready to eat! :)

We've been busy since after Thanksgiving getting ready for Christmas!  Even though every day is a good day to reach people for Christ, Christmas is an especially wonderful time of year for outreach. It's also that time of year to pull out the traditional Christmas movies and books!

What are some of your favorite holiday recipes? What are some of your family's Christmas traditions?  Some favorite movies or books?

  1. This looks too delicious, Elyse! We love making a peppermint crisp fudge which is very good too! Our traditions over the festive season include baking our Christmas cake and on Christmas Eve, we watch a new movie (this year it is going to be Celtic Women - Emerald Tour) and have pizza! Traditions are delightful:). Have a blessed day!

  3. Ooh.. so easy and delicious looking! Hope to try someday in the near future. And I'm not a big fan of nuts either (in certain things they are okay, but I still think those certain things would be better without them). So that either makes you not weird, or that makes both of us weird. :)
I just saw on your blogger profile that you follow Fresh Modesty. Do you follow her super closely? Just wondering because I follow her blog and love it. I've backed her kickstarter for her skirt company, and already received my Fresh Apparel t-shirt. Still waiting for my skirt. (Super excited to get it!)
    Blessings!

    1. Thanks, Abby! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's weird! ;)

No, I don't actually look at her blog very often. I need to, though! That's cool that you're getting a skirt from her-they are really cute!
      Blessings!
